GennComm Principal Genna Rosenberg is a toy and consumer products veteran with close to 20 years experience in marketing and communications. Genna has far-reaching relationships, and over the years has been a strategic and public ambassador for many of today’s most beloved and classic kids’ brands with licensing industry giants including Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Sanrio, Universal, HIT Entertainment, Warner Bros, Sony, Mattel, Hasbro, World Wrestling Entertainment, UFC, and many more.
Genna is also a spokesperson to worldwide media on toy industry issues, and she is deeply passionate about children’s philanthropy. She currently holds three Board positions with Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, the Toy Industry Foundation, and Women in Toys.
Genna is a member of the Los Angeles Community Leaders group. She was Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2009 and 2010 Women Making a Difference Award Finalist for Executive and Philanthropist of the Year (respectively), and was the 2010 Wonder Woman in Toys “Woman to Watch” Winner.

Daniel is a true Renaissance Man. A California-licensed attorney with a keen media sense and strategic approach, he has been doing business development for more than a decade. Daniel brings his unique legal, communications, business and tech savvy perspective to GennComm, and is a strong contributor to the brainstorming, account management and BIG ideas generation for our diverse clientele.
Janis has been doing Public Relations for more than 15 years and has extensive experience creating, managing and executing PR Campaigns for many of today’s largest kids’ toymakers including JAKKS Pacific, MGA, Imperial, Maya Group, Wicked Cool Toys and more, as well as IP holders, including Disney, Sanrio, KIDZ BOP, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Cabbage Patch Kids and Hannah Montana. Janis is widely known throughout the industry for her contagious enthusiasm, energy and dedicated approach that is unmatched. Recent client placements include ABC News, The NY Times, The TODAY Show, Good Morning America, LIVE with Kelly, CBS The Early Show, FamilyFun, Parents, Good Housekeeping, Scholastic Parent & Child, Washington Post, and many more. Ida is one of the PR Superstars on the GennComm team. With more than 15 years experience doing media relations, Ida’s marked approach is results-driven and effective time and again. She comes to GennComm from a leading toymaker, and prior to that had her own PR agency for almost a decade. Her expertise includes pitching toys and consumer products, lifestyle and entertainment brands, tech products and more to mainstream and ever-growing influential blogger community. She has recently secured top tiered coverage in outlets like Good Morning America, TODAY Show, Access Hollywood, TIME Magazine, People Magazine, USA Today and many more.

Jeremy is a big kid at heart with the IQ of a mad genius. He has been scouring the globe for awesome technology and conceptualizing new and improved toys and consumer products for decades. A true resource in the product development arena, Jeremy brings his seasoned perspective to help focus GennComm clients’ vision with new ideas, innovations and meaningful improvements to existing products in their diverse portfolios.

TingTing is a sharp young executive who is “up for anything” and hits the mark time and again. Our in-house digital media production manager, TingTing has a background in marketing, filmmaking and accounting; she brings a myriad of skills to GennComm. From Social media marketing, to video production and campaign development, TingTing is a thoughtful, creative thinker with an innovative approach.
Carie Goldberg is a 16-year veteran of sports and entertainment industry communications. The president and Founder of Gold Standard Sports, a boutique sports and talent marketing and management agency founded in 2008, Goldberg also works seamlessly as part of the GennComm team to enhance our clients’ campaigns with celebrity engagements – be it through personal and public appearances, PR & social media efforts or charitable endeavors.
With almost two decades of experience developing and creating public relations and media campaigns for the non-profit sector in Washington, DC, Lori Harrison has provided written and editorial expertise to businesses that span consumer, manufacturing and travel industries. As Director of Communications for some of Washington, DC’s leading trade associations, Lori spearheaded campaigns with Anheuser Busch, Miller Brewing Company, Travelers Insurance, Greyhound and more to increase positive media visibility across various media platforms. Prior to her experience in the association world, Lori served more than six years on Capitol Hill as a legislative assistant in the Commerce Department. Most recently, Lori worked on several projects with QVC providing written expertise across all their product lines and specifically marketing to moms with key QVC products. From complex, legislative white papers to client newsletters, product releases and descriptions of home goods and jewelry, Lori’s strength lies in her ability to write original, creative and informative copy for a variety of audiences.
Licensing & Marketing
Debbie Dunn brings 16 years of experience in licensing & merchandising, marketing, brand management promotions and business development for many high profile consumer goods, entertainment and sports brands to GennComm. Previously, at Cinedigm (a digital theatrical distribution company), Debbie designed, sold and managed theatrical promotional programs with more than a dozen top-tier children’s entertainment and regional exhibition partners under the Kidtoon Films label. Additionally, she has served in management and retail sales roles for DIC/Cookie Jar (a children’s animation company), JAKKS Pacific, Inc. (the 3rd largest public toy co. in the U.S.), The Beverly Hills Teddy Bear Company, (a boutique import plush manufacturer), Brand Sense Partners (licensing agency for Dodge and Vespa), Universal Studios, and Saban, where she created marketing programs for the multi-billion-dollar global children’s brand Power Rangers.
Sarah Gumina is a savvy PR veteran with 16+ years experience in the consumer product and entertainment arena, 13 specifically in children’s entertainment. She has worked on behalf of well-established brands and companies including Playmates Toys’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, King Kong, Disney Princesses and Strawberry Shortcake lines. Shrek, Ice Age, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Thomas The Tank Engine, Talking Tom and Friends, Martha Speaks (Martha Stewart animated series), Secret Billionaires Club (Warren Buffet”) – just a few of the hundreds of campaigns on which Gumina has worked during the last dozen-plus years. For 11 years Gumina served as Vice President at Bender/Helper Impact, one of the leading independent public relations agencies in Los Angeles, managing the entertainment content/consumer products division and clients including Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Fox Home Entertainment, MGM, DreamWorks, among others.
Tommy Ortel is a lifelong artist with over 25 years experience in events, merchandising, interior and landscape design, photography and fashion. He has been executing high-profile PR events with Genna Rosenberg for more than 15 years, and extends his talent to GennComm clients on trade, consumer and media events, including The Consumer Electronics Show, New York International Toy Fair, The Wonder Woman Awards Dinner, TTPM Media Previews, The Toy Insider’s Sweet Suites, and others. Tommy helps bring brands to life with exciting experiential product displays, including for example a wearable couture ensemble out Cra-Z-Art Toys’ Light Brix light-up building bricks, which was featured in the CES FashionWares Runway Show and covered by major media outlets.
Merry Schwartzberg has been a Kindergarten Teacher in the Palm Beach County School District since 1997. She holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of South Florida in Elementary Education K-6 and a Masters Degree in Guidance & Counseling from New York University. She is excited to incorporate her skill set into a new frontier with The GennComm family and our clients.
Stacie Speaker joins GennComm with more than 15 years of experience in marketing, brand management and manufacturing for many of the world’s most popular licensed consumer products and entertainment brands. Stacie has held positions at well-known marquis companies including The Walt Disney Company, Li & Fung, JAKKS Pacific, DreamWorks Animation and most recently, Rovio Entertainment, home of the Angry Birds. With her exceptional communication skills and her keen ability to multi-task, Stacie will help guide and execute multi-pronged and integrated communications and marketing campaigns for GennComm clients. She will help them achieve their goals, while also contributing to GennComm’s commitment to being a leading PR firm.
Jamie is a seasoned professional in the toy and consumer products industry with a decade of experience in marketing, brand management, product development, licensing and PR. She has worked with the world’s top licensed brands and toy makers including Disney, Nickelodeon, Sanrio, Marvel, Mattel, and many more. As Account Executive, Jamie has a sophisticated understanding of the clients’ needs, producing customized strategies for executing projects. Jamie is a creative thinker and highly organized multi-tasker who shares GennComm’s determination to propel our clients to the top.
